Monolithic Power Poised for Growth on AI Demand, KeyBanc Says

KeyBanc has maintained its Overweight rating and $2,100 price target on Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ: MPWR) ahead of its earnings report, citing expectations for stronger-than-consensus results and upbeat guidance. The investment firm's positive outlook is rooted in continued strength in the company's Enterprise Data segment, fueled by robust demand for server CPUs and artificial intelligence hardware.
AI and Server Market Catalysts
According to KeyBanc's analysis, a significant growth driver is the initial production ramp of Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform. The firm notes that Monolithic Power is positioned as the primary "stage 2 Vcore supplier" for this platform, with a previous technical issue now resolved. KeyBanc also stated that competitors, including ON Semiconductor and Texas Instruments, are not qualified for this role at present.
Looking further ahead, KeyBanc anticipates Nvidia will adopt a discrete architecture for its Rubin Ultra platform, which it estimates will increase Monolithic Power's content per unit. This development is expected to provide an additional growth catalyst for the company into 2027 and 2028.
Financial Estimates and Valuation
KeyBanc's financial projections for Monolithic Power are above Wall Street consensus. The firm's estimates include:
Ad- Q3 2026: Revenue of $1.18 billion and EPS of $8.02, compared to consensus estimates of $1.16 billion and $7.79.
- Q4 2026: Revenue of $1.24 billion and EPS of $8.48, versus consensus of $1.22 billion and $8.21.
The firm's $2,100 price target is based on a valuation of 54 times its 2027 earnings per share estimate of $38.53. KeyBanc noted the stock currently trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 32 times, below its three-year median of 43 times.
Broader Industry Tailwinds
Beyond company-specific factors, KeyBanc expects Monolithic Power to benefit from a broader cyclical recovery in the power analog semiconductor market. The firm highlighted increasingly tight supply conditions, which are giving suppliers greater leverage to increase prices.
As evidence of this trend, the report noted that Monolithic Power already implemented price hikes in the third quarter of 2026, raising prices by 5% to 10% for PC components and 10% to 15% for server components.
