BofA Securities projects that sales growth for top diversified semiconductor suppliers will accelerate significantly, forecasting a jump to 19% in 2026 from just 1% in 2025. The firm also anticipates a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12% for the sector through 2028.
In a departure from previous cycles, company management teams are now pointing to a stronger second half of the year, supported by improving backlog visibility and healthier demand. This recovery is underpinned by secular growth trends including artificial intelligence infrastructure, vehicle electrification, industrial automation, and aerospace and defense.

Texas Instruments (TXN)
AdCited as BofA's top pick, Texas Instruments is expected to benefit from its broad industrial exposure and increased utilization as the recovery broadens. The firm sees a favorable setup for the second and third quarters as revenue growth becomes increasingly driven by unit demand rather than inventory adjustments. Separately, analysts at Stifel recently reaffirmed a Buy rating on the stock, citing data that showed a 22% year-over-year increase in general-purpose analog billings.
ON Semiconductor (ON)
ON Semiconductor is well-positioned to capitalize on improving automotive fundamentals and growing demand for AI power applications, according to the report. BofA notes that suppliers are now largely shipping to meet consumption levels rather than correcting inventories, creating a healthier outlook for the second half of 2026. The company recently announced it would acquire Synaptics in an all-stock transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $7 billion.
Analog Devices (ADI)
Analog Devices is set to gain from accelerating industrial and infrastructure demand. BofA points to improving bookings, backlog, and order activity across most regions as evidence of the recovery. The company recently reported fiscal second-quarter results that exceeded guidance and completed its acquisition of Empower Semiconductor to expand its capabilities in power delivery for AI computing systems.
