Gaming Realms H1 Revenue Slips 3% on Brand Licensing Weakness

Gaming Realms reported a 3% decline in total revenue for the first half of 2026, as a downturn in its brand licensing business overshadowed double-digit growth in its core content licensing segment. Despite the top-line dip, the UK-based mobile gaming company affirmed its full-year outlook remains in line with market expectations.
H1 Financial Performance
According to its half-year report, the company's content licensing division, its primary growth engine, saw revenue increase by 12% to £13 million. However, this strong performance was offset by weakness in the separate brand licensing unit, leading to the slight overall revenue decline.
The divergence between the two segments also impacted profitability. While adjusted EBITDA excluding the brand licensing business grew by 16%, the company's total adjusted EBITDA fell by 12% to £6.6 million. Gaming Realms posted a pretax profit of £3.40 million for the six-month period.
Operational Highlights and Expansion
Operationally, the company demonstrated significant progress in expanding its global footprint. Key achievements for the first half of 2026 include:
Ad- Entering four new regulated markets.
- Securing 22 new operator partnerships.
- Increasing its unique player count by 88%.
Gaming Realms also expanded its game portfolio, releasing 11 new titles and launching its new Lucky Lunar studio. In its domestic UK market, the company managed to grow revenues by 3%, showing resilience despite a near-doubling of the Remote Gaming Duty, a key industry tax.
Outlook and Strategy
Looking ahead, Gaming Realms stated that it expects its full-year 2026 results to meet current market expectations. The company plans to continue its international expansion strategy in the second half of the year by entering additional regulated markets.
Further investment in platform technology and the release of more titles from its popular Slingo and new Lucky Lunar brands are central to its growth plans.
