Cadillac Mines Launches Canadian IPO Targeting Up to C$363 Million

Cadillac Mines Corp. and its backers are seeking to raise up to C$363 million (approximately $258 million) in an initial public offering on the Canadian market. The Toronto-based mineral exploration company launched its investor roadshow on Monday after filing an amended preliminary prospectus with Canadian securities regulators, according to a company statement.
Offering Details
The proposed offering consists of 50,228,000 shares in total. It is structured to provide C$190 million in gross proceeds to the company, with selling shareholders set to receive the remaining C$173 million.
The offering includes a mix of common shares priced at C$6.90 each and special flow-through shares priced at C$9.52.
Underwriters have been granted a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 7,534,200 common shares at the C$6.90 offering price. If this option is exercised in full, the total gross proceeds from the IPO would increase to approximately C$415 million.
Strategic Private Placement
AdConcurrent with the public offering, Cadillac Mines expects to complete a private placement with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. The placement involves the sale of 8,696,000 common shares, which will generate an additional C$60 million in gross proceeds for Cadillac Mines.
This transaction will be conducted without any commission or fees paid to underwriters, signaling a direct investment from a major established player in the mining industry.
Market Context and Company Focus
This IPO adds to a recent resurgence in public listing activity in Canada, particularly within the mining sector. Cadillac Mines is focused on advancing its portfolio of gold and critical mineral projects located along the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break in Ontario and Québec.
The company's stated objectives include expanding its gold resource base and advancing key assets like the Geminid nickel deposit. The capital raised will be instrumental in funding these exploration and development activities.
