Strategy Sells $544.5 Million in Stock, Pauses Bitcoin Purchases

Strategy (MSTR) raised $544.5 million in net proceeds from the sale of its stock last week but did not purchase any additional bitcoin, a notable pause in its aggressive cryptocurrency acquisition strategy. The activity, detailed in a regulatory filing, covers the period from July 20 to July 26, 2026.
Weekly Capital Activity
According to an SEC filing, Strategy sold 5,429,160 shares of its Class A common stock (MSTR) through its at-the-market (ATM) offering program. The company also disclosed it had repurchased 288,930 shares of its STRC preferred stock for an aggregate price of $25.0 million.
No other securities were sold or repurchased during the period. The filing indicates that Strategy still has significant capacity for future capital actions, with $22.98 billion remaining under its MSTR stock ATM program and nearly $2.0 billion available across its repurchase programs.
AdBitcoin Holdings Unchanged
Despite the significant capital raised from the stock sale, Strategy made no bitcoin purchases during the week. This is a key data point for investors who closely track the company's crypto treasury as a core part of its corporate strategy.
As of July 26, 2026, the company's holdings remained at 843,775 bitcoin. These were acquired at an aggregate purchase price of $63.69 billion, reflecting an average price of $75,476 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses.
