Hyperscale Data Sells Bitcoin, Secures Loan to Fund Michigan AI Campus

Hyperscale Data, Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) is leveraging its corporate Bitcoin treasury to finance the construction of its new artificial intelligence data center campus in Michigan. The company has sold a portion of its holdings and secured a credit facility collateralized by its remaining digital assets to fund the development.
Funding Strategy Details
According to a press release issued on July 30, 2026, Hyperscale Data sold approximately 100 Bitcoin and established a Bitcoin-backed credit facility to raise capital. The credit line, which uses the company's remaining Bitcoin as collateral, has variable interest rates expected to range from 4.5% to 5.0%.
CEO William Horne said the strategy is designed to reduce stockholder dilution by minimizing reliance on equity financing. "By selectively monetizing and financing against a portion of our Bitcoin holdings, we are shifting one balance sheet asset for another," Horne stated.
Executive Chairman Milton "Todd" Ault III noted that the company had accumulated approximately $71 million in Bitcoin through its mining and treasury operations, describing the holdings as "a significant source of financial flexibility."
Michigan AI Campus Project
AdThe proceeds will fund a campus tied to a previously announced master services agreement with a neo-cloud AI infrastructure provider. The contract has the potential to generate significant long-term revenue for Hyperscale Data.
Key terms of the agreement include:
- Initial Scope: Approximately 20 megawatts of AI compute capacity over an initial 10-year term.
- Expected Revenue: More than $1.2 billion if the initial term and two five-year extension options are fully exercised.
- Expansion Option: The customer can opt for an additional 32 megawatts within the first two years.
- Total Potential Revenue: The contract value could exceed $3.0 billion if the expansion option and all extensions are utilized.
Corporate Outlook
Hyperscale Data stated it plans to maintain a meaningful position in Bitcoin while continuing to evaluate its capital strategy based on market conditions. The company also intends to divest its subsidiary, Ault Capital Group, Inc., in the second quarter of 2027. Following the divestiture, Hyperscale will focus solely on its data center operations and digital asset holdings.
