EOS Tumbles Over 11% in Largest Single-Day Drop Since February

EOS (EOS) plunged 11.32% on Sunday, marking its most substantial single-day percentage drop since February 5. The cryptocurrency was trading at $0.1011 by 09:01 GMT, according to data from the Investing.com Index.
Details of the Decline
The sharp sell-off pushed EOS to the bottom of its 24-hour trading range of $0.1011 to $0.1100. This downward move significantly eroded the token's market capitalization, which once peaked at over $17.5 billion.
The trading volume for EOS in the 24 hours leading up to the report was $1.1099 million. The Sunday plunge extends a period of negative performance for the asset, which has lost 2.5% over the past seven days.
AdMarket and Historical Context
The token's current price level underscores a dramatic long-term decline. EOS remains down 99.56% from its all-time high of $22.98, which was set on April 29, 2018.
The sharp decline in EOS was not reflective of a wider market crash. During the same period, market leaders saw more stable trading, with Bitcoin up 0.21% to $81,768.4 and Ethereum posting a modest loss of 0.94% to trade at $2,414.40, according to the index.
