Dajin Heavy Industry Shares Rise Over 6% as New Transport Fleet Becomes Operational

Shares of Dajin Heavy Industry (01081.HK) jumped more than 6% in late trading following news that its new, self-owned fleet of specialized transport vessels has officially entered service. The development is seen as a key strategic move to streamline logistics and support the company's rapidly expanding shipbuilding operations.
Fleet Operations and Project Delivery
Dajin Heavy Industry has been progressively launching its "KING series" of special-purpose transport ships throughout the year. The company confirmed that its first vessel, KING ONE, began its maiden voyage in February and has already completed two transport missions, including one for a European monopile project.
The second vessel, KING TWO, was delivered in July and embarked on its first voyage on September 2, shipping components for the BC Wind project. A third ship, KING THREE, is scheduled for delivery before the end of September. According to an analysis by Huaxi Securities, having all three vessels operational this year is expected to ensure project delivery schedules are controllable and should lead to an increase in profitability.
Expansion into Shipbuilding
Beyond strengthening its logistics, Dajin Heavy Industry has successfully expanded into the mainstream shipbuilding market. Huaxi Securities noted that since August of the previous year, the company has signed new manufacturing orders for a total of 24 vessels.
AdThese contracts represent a total value of approximately RMB 12 billion (Chinese Yuan). The delivery schedule for these orders is concentrated between 2027 and 2030, establishing a significant long-term order book for the company's new shipbuilding segment.
Market Reaction
Investors responded positively to the operational updates. In late trading, Dajin Heavy Industry's stock was up 6.01% to HK$28.56, with a trading volume of HK$28.26 million.
The market's reaction suggests confidence in the company's dual-growth strategy, which combines the logistical advantages of its own fleet with a growing revenue stream from third-party shipbuilding contracts.
