Zebec to Offer Yield on Corporate Payroll via Solstice's USX Stablecoin

Onchain payroll platform Zebec Network has partnered with institutional yield protocol Solstice Finance to integrate the USX stablecoin, a move that will allow businesses to earn rewards on payroll funds before they are disbursed to employees. The collaboration, announced on August 13, 2026, aims to make corporate treasury funds productive while awaiting payout.
Turning Idle Capital into Yield
The integration addresses what Solstice Finance CEO Ben Nadareski calls the “dead-dollar problem” in onchain payroll. Typically, enterprises pre-fund their payroll accounts, and these funds sit idle, earning no return, until the scheduled payday.
Through this partnership, these pre-funded balances will now be held in USX, Solstice's reward-bearing dollar-equivalent asset. This allows the enterprise's working capital to generate yield during the holding period between funding and disbursement, without requiring any changes to their existing payroll processes.
“Most onchain payroll has a dead-dollar problem,” said Nadareski. “Enterprises top up payroll balances, and those balances just sit there till payday, earning nothing. USX turns that gap into a yield window.”
The USX Integration
AdFor employees and contractors, the payment experience remains largely the same. They will receive their pay and can hold the USX balance or spend it via a Zebec debit card, where it functions as a standard U.S. dollar. The key details of the USX stablecoin include:
- Issuer: Solstice Finance, an institutional yield protocol on the Solana blockchain.
- Backing: USX is backed by hedged positions across highly liquid digital assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL, along with their corresponding perpetual futures, major stablecoins, and tokenized treasuries.
- Rewards: Enterprises and users earn rewards on USX balances held within the Zebec system through Solstice’s rewards program.
Market Impact and Scale
The feature will be rolled out across Zebec’s ecosystem, which the company states processes over $500 million in annual payroll volume and serves more than 50,000 monthly active users. The integration aims to add a new layer of financial efficiency for Zebec's corporate clients.
“Zebec’s vision has always been rooted in the time value of money,” stated Simon Babakhani, CEO of Zebec Network. “Introducing USX is a step toward bringing earning capabilities directly into the payroll experience, giving enterprises and their employees more productive options without adding friction.”
