Syntetika Launches On-Chain Hub for Regulated Investment Strategies

Syntetika, a new platform focused on the tokenization of regulated investment strategies, announced its launch on Monday, opening deposits for its inaugural product. The company aims to make professionally managed funds accessible directly from a user's crypto wallet, starting with a Bitcoin basis strategy from the publicly traded asset manager Hilbert Group.
Bridging Traditional Funds and DeFi
Syntetika's model provides an on-chain gateway to investment strategies operating within regulated fund structures. According to the company's announcement, each fund utilizes independent custody for its assets, and its net asset value (NAV) is attested by an independent third party each processing cycle.
This attested NAV serves as the price at which the platform's vault tokens are issued to depositors and redeemed. To enhance transparency, Syntetika plans to implement Chainlink Proof of Reserve, which will allow anyone to verify the reserves backing its tokens on-chain. The platform is launching on the Base network.
The BTC Basis+ Strategy
The first product available is the BTC Basis+ strategy, which generates returns denominated in Bitcoin. Managed by Hilbert Group, the fund employs a basis trading strategy, which seeks to capture the pricing difference, or spread, between the spot Bitcoin market and Bitcoin futures markets.
AdInvestors can participate by depositing `cbBTC` into the Syntetika vault in a permissionless manner. These deposits are then subscribed into the fund during the next cycle, and users receive a vault token, `hBTC`, minted at the verified NAV. Redemptions operate on the same cyclical basis.
Strategic Outlook and Partnerships
This launch represents a further step in the broader financial trend of tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) and regulated financial products. "What we are really launching is the platform underneath it: infrastructure built to carry a growing set of regulated strategies onchain," said Jorge Cuartero, CEO of Syntetika. "This is day one of that roadmap.”
Syntetika's launch is supported by several key partners:
- Tulipa Capital is handling strategy curation.
- Ember Protocol is providing the vault infrastructure.
- Yield Network will serve as a liquidity syndication partner.
