STON.fi Launches Cross-Chain Swaps to Link TON with TRON and EVM Stablecoins

STON.fi, a leading automated market maker (AMM) on The Open Network (TON), has launched a native cross-chain swap function, the company announced. The new feature enables users to directly transfer stablecoins between the TON ecosystem and major liquidity networks including TRON, Ethereum, and other EVM-compatible chains.
Bridging Major Liquidity Hubs
The integration provides a direct, non-custodial link between TON and some of the largest blockchain ecosystems. According to the announcement, users can now move assets between TON, TRON, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Robinhood Chain from a single interface.
This development is significant as it connects TON to the two largest stablecoin networks, TRON and Ethereum, which collectively account for a substantial portion of the stablecoin market. The feature is designed to allow users to move capital without relying on centralized exchanges, complex cross-chain bridges, or wrapped assets, streamlining access to TON's native assets and DeFi protocols.
The Omniston Execution Layer
The cross-chain functionality is powered by Omniston, a proprietary execution layer developed by STON.fi. The system coordinates the entire swap process from the source chain to the destination chain, ensuring predictability from pricing through to settlement.
AdKey features of the Omniston-powered swaps include:
- Speed: Most transactions are completed within 15 to 40 seconds.
- Predictability: Users see the exact amount of assets they will receive before confirming a transaction.
- Security: Swaps are executed using Hashed Time-Lock Contracts (HTLCs), which ensure atomicity. If a swap cannot be completed, funds are automatically returned to the user, preventing stuck or partially executed transactions.
Market Implications
This launch marks a strategic shift for STON.fi, moving it from a single-chain DeFi protocol to a more user-intent-focused, multi-chain application. By simplifying the transfer of value, STON.fi aims to lower the barrier for entry into the TON ecosystem for users already active on TRON and EVM chains.
"Our goal is to make moving assets between ecosystems as simple as swapping within a single network," said Slavik Baranov, CEO of STON.fi Dev, in a statement. "Omniston handles the underlying complexity, allowing users to focus on the outcome, not the infrastructure."
