STON.fi Launches Cross-Chain Swaps to Link TON with TRON and EVM Stablecoin Markets

Decentralized exchange STON.fi announced Tuesday the launch of a cross-chain swap feature, directly connecting The Open Network (TON) with the stablecoin economies of TRON and major Ethereum-compatible blockchains. The new functionality allows users to transfer stablecoins across networks from a single, self-custodial interface without relying on centralized exchanges or traditional asset-wrapping bridges.
Bridging Major Liquidity Hubs
According to the announcement, the feature integrates TON with some of the largest blockchain ecosystems in the digital asset space. The integration aims to facilitate a more seamless flow of capital between these networks, which collectively represent a significant portion of the market.
The supported blockchains now connected to TON via STON.fi include:
- TRON
- Ethereum
- BNB Chain
- Polygon
- Avalanche
- Arbitrum
- Base
- Robinhood Chain
This development is particularly significant for connecting TON to the stablecoin market, which the firm notes has a total capitalization of over $300 billion. TRON and Ethereum are cited as the two largest networks for stablecoin activity, and the new swaps provide a direct corridor for that liquidity to enter the TON ecosystem.
The Omniston Execution Layer
AdThe cross-chain swaps are powered by Omniston, a proprietary execution layer developed by STON.fi. The protocol is designed to coordinate the entire swap process, from order placement to settlement, with a focus on speed and reliability. Most swaps are expected to complete in 15–40 seconds.
Omniston operates by connecting user orders with independent liquidity providers, known as resolvers, who fulfill the transaction on the destination chain. The system uses Hashed Timelock Contracts (HTLCs), a type of smart contract that ensures both sides of the swap execute simultaneously or the entire transaction is reverted, preventing funds from getting stuck.
Market Impact and Outlook
The launch positions STON.fi as a gateway between TON and the broader decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape. By simplifying the process of moving assets, the platform could lower the barrier to entry for TRON and EVM users looking to explore TON-native assets, wallets, and applications integrated with Telegram.
"People don’t think in terms of blockchains — they think in terms of what they want to do," said Slavik Baranov, CEO of STON.fi Dev, in the announcement. "Our goal is to make moving between ecosystems feel as simple as swapping within one network." This focus on user intent over underlying infrastructure highlights a broader industry trend toward improving interoperability and user experience.
