Poland's Anti-Drone Firm APS Hires Morgan Stanley to Explore Potential Sale

Polish anti-drone technology company Advanced Protection Systems (APS) is exploring strategic options, including a potential sale, and has retained Morgan Stanley as an adviser, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Strategic Review Underway
Morgan Stanley has started to contact potential interested parties on behalf of APS, Bloomberg reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The sources cautioned that the deliberations are in an early stage and there is no certainty that a transaction will occur.
In a statement, APS confirmed it is actively assessing its future. The company said that "it is natural for us to continuously review various strategic options," which could include "bringing in an investor, an IPO, strategic partnerships or a sale."
Key Role in European Drone Defense
AdAPS has gained prominence for its significant role in constructing a so-called "drone wall" on Poland’s eastern border. The company describes this as the largest and most advanced system of its kind in Europe, designed to counter the threat of inexpensive but highly effective drones, a lesson drawn from their extensive use in the war in Ukraine.
The firm provides critical components for the defense system, including the software, sensors, and radars. This technology positions APS as a key player in the rapidly growing defense technology sector, particularly in counter-drone capabilities.
Financial Outlook
The sources cited by Bloomberg indicated that APS is expected to report earnings between €30 million and €40 million (approximately $32 million to $43 million) this year. This financial performance underscores the company's growth amid heightened geopolitical tensions and increased defense spending in the region.
