Background

Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) stock has gained 14.37% so far in September as investors anticipate its first-quarter earnings report, due after the market close. The rally is underpinned by strong institutional demand for artificial intelligence hardware and a significant new partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE).

Partnership and Market Performance

A key catalyst for the recent investor optimism is an expanded multi-year deal between Oracle and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Under the agreement, HPE will supply high-density Juniper routing and switching systems to equip Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s global AI data centers. This move solidifies the supply chain relationship between the two companies, with HPE also gaining Oracle stock warrants tied to deployment milestones.

The partnership has coincided with strong market performance for both firms this month. While Oracle has climbed over 14%, HPE shares have surged 15.79%, according to a report from Investing.com. The trend reflects a broader market rotation of capital into companies positioned to benefit from the buildout of AI infrastructure.
