Mirae Asset Securities and Grvt Partner on Tokenized Funding Note Issuance

Mirae Asset Securities (HK) Limited has collaborated with onchain platform Grvt on the issuance of tokenized funding notes, signaling a deeper integration of traditional financial products with digital asset technology. Grvt, an onchain platform, has subscribed to the notes, which were arranged by Mirae Asset under its affiliate's structured notes program.
Details of the Transaction
The collaboration represents an initial step for the two firms in the tokenized asset space. According to the announcement, Grvt intends to use the exposure from the notes in connection with its Grvt Earn product, which is offered independently and subject to its own eligibility requirements.
This first transaction focuses on tokenized funding notes, but the companies plan to explore a wider range of products. On a non-committed basis, they will look into developing other tokenized securities, such as U.S. Treasuries, corporate bonds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), pending all necessary regulatory approvals and compliance reviews.
Strategic Implications
For Mirae Asset, this move aligns with a broader corporate strategy to bridge traditional finance with digital asset markets. "This issuance marks a step forward in our digital asset strategy, bringing our structured product capabilities into tokenised markets," said Kelly Sohn, Head of Digital Assets at Mirae Asset Securities (HK) Limited.
AdThe partnership also provides a pathway for digital-native platforms like Grvt to access traditional financial instruments in a tokenized format. "Grvt’s subscription to Mirae Asset Securities’ tokenised funding notes marks an initial step in this collaboration," stated Hong Yea, Co-founder and CEO of Grvt. He added that the firms intend to explore further opportunities for eligible investors in permitted jurisdictions.
