Integra LifeSciences Shares Tumble 14% After Slashing 2026 Financial Outlook

Summary
The medical technology company lowered its full-year revenue and earnings guidance due to ongoing production disruptions from a July flood at a key manufacturing site, missing Wall Street expectations.
Shares of Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: IART) plunged 14% in Friday trading after the company significantly lowered its full-year 2026 financial forecast. The revision stems from the continuing impact of a flood at its Cincinnati manufacturing facility earlier this year.
Revised 2026 Guidance
Integra announced it now expects full-year 2026 results to fall below its previous projections and current analyst consensus. The updated guidance reflects the ongoing supply disruption.
- Revenue: Lowered to a range of $1.634 billion to $1.654 billion, down from the prior range of $1.654 billion to $1.695 billion. Wall Street had expected revenue of $1.67 billion.
- Adjusted EPS: Reduced to $2.30 to $2.40 per diluted share, from a previous $2.40 to $2.50. The analyst consensus was $2.46 per share.
For the third quarter, the company anticipates revenue of approximately $410 million to $412 million and adjusted earnings of $0.55 to $0.59 per share. This compares to analyst estimates of $416.3 million in revenue and $0.56 in earnings per share.
Impact of Facility Disruption
AdThe revised outlook is a direct result of a flood at the company's Cincinnati facility in July 2026, which damaged equipment and inventory. The site is crucial for manufacturing products within Integra's Specialty Surgical Technologies portfolio.
The company quantified the financial drag from the disruption, estimating a negative revenue impact of approximately $7 million in the third quarter and an expected $15 million to $20 million in the fourth quarter. Integra stated that it anticipates a return to full manufacturing operations at the site during the second quarter of 2027.
Financial Mitigants and Refinancing
Integra noted that it maintains property and business interruption insurance for the facility and expects recoveries to mitigate a substantial portion of the earnings impact. Despite the challenges, the company said it continues to expect strong cash generation, forecasting over $85 million in third-quarter operating cash flow and $190 million to $200 million for the full year.
Separately, Integra announced a proposed $600 million seven-year Senior Secured Term Loan B. The company said this is part of a broader transaction to refinance existing debt and extend its debt maturities.
