Hilton Lifts Full-Year RevPAR Forecast on Strong US Travel Demand

Hilton Worldwide Holdings (HLT) on Tuesday raised its full-year forecast for a key revenue metric, signaling confidence in the continued strength of U.S. travel demand across its portfolio of properties.
Upgraded Outlook
The McLean, Virginia-based company now expects its revenue per available room (RevPAR) to grow between 4% and 4.5% for fiscal 2026. This marks a notable increase from its previous guidance of a 3% to 3.5% rise.
RevPAR is a critical performance indicator in the lodging industry that tracks a hotel's average daily room rate and occupancy. Hilton's revised forecast suggests it anticipates healthier occupancy levels or pricing power than previously projected.
Resilient Travel Market
Hilton attributed the upgraded outlook to robust demand from both business and leisure travelers. The company noted that consumer spending on travel has remained firm despite persistent inflation and geopolitical uncertainty.
AdBroader industry data supports this trend. According to the U.S. Travel Association, overall spending on travel in August increased by 2.5% compared with the same period a year ago.
Luxury Segment Leads Growth
The demand was particularly evident in the company's high-end brands during the most recent quarter. Hilton reported significant RevPAR gains in its luxury segment:
- Waldorf Astoria: +13.9%
- LXR: +14.3%
While wealthy consumers drove growth in luxury experiences, the company also reported improved demand for its mid-scale and budget hotels, indicating broad-based strength across different travel segments.
