Grupo Salinas Taps Integral to Power Institutional Crypto Trading Desk

Grupo Salinas, a major Latin American conglomerate, has selected currency technology provider Integral to supply the infrastructure for its new institutional digital asset trading desk, COINPRO. The platform is designed to serve corporate and institutional clients executing wholesale transactions between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies.
Technology and Strategy
According to a September 3 announcement, COINPRO will use the Integral Digital platform to manage its core trading operations. The technology provides a unified environment for several key functions crucial for institutional-grade services:
- Liquidity aggregation from multiple sources
- Automated price formation and quoting
- Comprehensive order and position management
- Integrated risk controls and real-time analytics
By automating these processes, COINPRO aims to scale its operations efficiently to meet growing institutional demand. The platform will support exchanges, digital asset companies, and other businesses that require institutional pricing and deep liquidity for converting between digital assets and local currencies.
Executive Commentary
AdCompany leadership highlighted the need for robust infrastructure to serve a demanding client base. "We selected Integral because its technology brings liquidity, pricing, risk management and operational control into a highly automated workflow," said Carlos Díaz Alonso, General Manager of Comission-Based Business of Grupo Salinas. He added that this provides the infrastructure "to serve corporate and institutional clients with the speed and discipline this market requires."
For Integral, the partnership represents a key expansion in the region. "Grupo Salinas is a pioneer in Latin American financial innovation, and we are thrilled to support their execution," said Harpal Sandhu, CEO of Integral. He noted that Integral's platform helps bridge the gap between institutional client demand and the complex operational requirements of the digital asset market.
Market Context
This move signals a significant step by a traditional, diversified business group into the digital asset space. Grupo Salinas operates a wide range of companies in Mexico, including TV Azteca and Banco Azteca, giving it a substantial footprint in the region's established financial and media landscape. Integral, founded in 1993, is a long-standing technology provider in traditional foreign exchange markets that has expanded its services to include cryptocurrencies.
