American Honda Announces Leadership Changes for Honda and Acura Auto Sales

American Honda announced a rotational shuffle of its auto sales leadership on Wednesday, with several key executives moving into new roles to head its Honda and Acura brands. The changes are scheduled to take effect on August 3, 2026.
Key Appointments
The leadership changes include three senior executives transitioning to new positions within the company:
- Jessika Laudermilk, currently the assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales, will move to lead the Acura brand as assistant vice president of Acura National Auto Sales.
- Luis Guerra, who serves as the Central Region director for Auto Sales, will succeed Laudermilk as the new assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales.
- Mike Langel, the outgoing assistant vice president of Acura National Auto Sales, will assume a new sales role at the Honda Aircraft Company.
Strategic Rationale
AdLance Woelfer, vice president of Auto Sales at American Honda, stated that the moves are part of the company's long-standing strategy of developing executive leaders through job rotation. "Job rotation has always served as an important strategy in developing our executive leaders for the Honda and Acura brands, advancing knowledge and experience to better serve our customers and dealers," Woelfer said in the announcement.
Woelfer highlighted the deep experience Laudermilk and Guerra bring to their new roles. He also noted that Langel's move to Honda Aircraft provides an opportunity to leverage his background as a pilot within the broader Honda organization.
Executive Experience
Jessika Laudermilk joined Honda in 2018 and has led Honda National Sales for the past two years. Her prior roles include assistant vice president of the Marketing Division for both the Honda and Acura brands. Luis Guerra brings nearly two decades of company experience, having worked in field organizations for both brands and in national sales. Mike Langel, who has been with American Honda since 2008, has held his position leading Acura National Sales for the last two years.
