Zelenskiy, speaking to reporters in a WhatsApp chat, confirmed the substance of the discussions. "As for the peace package that Kushner spoke of, and the new ideas – I can tell you that there were really some very decent, worthwhile ideas," he said, without providing specific details.
Sticking Points and Next Steps
Significant obstacles remain, particularly the status of Ukrainian-held territory in the eastern Donbas region, which Moscow has claimed as its own. Diplomatic initiatives have been largely frozen for months, and Zelenskiy expressed gratitude for the U.S. effort to revive the process.

Beyond a core peace settlement, future negotiations are expected to cover a range of critical issues. Zelenskiy indicated that Ukraine is prepared for compromise and highlighted several topics for discussion:

"We need not just to discuss, but to achieve concrete results," Zelenskiy added, emphasizing the need to increase the speed and scale of prisoner swaps.
