Vidrala Posts Flat Q3 Revenue, Announces Share Buyback

Vidrala S.A. (VID) reported flat proforma revenue and earnings that largely met analyst expectations for the third quarter, while maintaining its full-year outlook. The Spanish glass container manufacturer also announced a new share buyback program, and its shares rose 1% in Madrid trading following the news.
Quarterly Performance
For the third quarter, Vidrala posted revenue of €393 million. According to the company's report on Wednesday, this figure represented flat growth on a proforma basis, as a 1.4% organic decline was offset by an equivalent 1.4% positive impact from foreign exchange movements.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) came in at €113 million, nearly matching the consensus estimate of €114 million. The company's EBITDA margin for the quarter was 28.8%, a decrease from 29.6% in the same period of 2025 on a proforma basis. Performance varied by region, with operations in the UK, Ireland, and South America exceeding EBITDA forecasts, while the Iberia and rest of Europe segments fell short of expectations.
AdOutlook and Shareholder Returns
Looking ahead, Vidrala's management reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting an EBITDA of more than €450 million, which aligns with current market consensus. The company expects to generate approximately €200 million in free cash flow for the year, slightly below the consensus forecast of €204 million.
In a move to enhance shareholder returns, the company also announced a new share repurchase program. Vidrala is authorized to buy back up to 1% of its total share capital under the new plan.
