Trump Media to Launch Paid Data Feed for Truth Social Posts

Summary
Trump Media & Technology Group announced it will offer a licensed data feed, called Truth API, providing financial services firms with real-time access to posts from influential accounts on its Truth Social platform.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced Thursday it is launching a licensed data feed to provide businesses with direct access to posts on its Truth Social platform. The new product, Truth API, is designed to create a new revenue stream for the company by selling data to enterprise customers, particularly within the financial services sector.
A New Tool for Financial Firms
The paid Application Programming Interface (API) is aimed at organizations that require immediate and verified information from the platform, such as algorithmic trading firms. In a statement, TMTG said the product is for businesses "most impacted by the cost of a delay in information."
The company stated that until now, firms tracking influential posts on Truth Social have had to rely on "manual monitoring." The Truth API is intended to "close the gap" by providing what the company calls "the fastest" access to posts from the platform's highest-ranking accounts.
Revenue and Strategy
AdThe product, which will be available to enterprise customers starting in August, represents a new effort by TMTG to monetize its social media platform. In an interview with Axios, Trump Media's interim CEO, Kevin McGurn, said the API would be significantly faster than scraping data from the site.
Key features of the Truth API service include:
- Round-the-clock coverage of influential posts.
- An archive of posts dating back to 2022.
- A licensed feed intended to replace slower, unofficial data gathering methods.
