Trump Media Pitched $100,000 Monthly Fee for High-Speed Truth Social Feed, FT Reports

Summary
Trump Media & Technology Group reportedly discussed charging financial firms as much as $100,000 a month for faster access to Donald Trump's market-moving posts on its Truth Social platform.
Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) has discussed charging traders and investors up to $100,000 per month for a premium, high-speed data feed of U.S. President Donald Trump's posts on Truth Social, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The "Truth API" Proposal
The company recently announced a new product, a paid data feed called "Truth API," designed to provide banks and trading firms with the fastest possible access to content from influential accounts on the platform. A company spokesperson stated the service would deliver posts from the 10 most influential accounts at a pace significantly faster than standard push notifications.
This initiative marks Trump Media's first venture into data licensing, which would establish a new revenue stream for the company. TMTG has faced challenges in scaling its social media business against larger competitors. Reuters noted it could not independently verify the Financial Times report, and Trump Media did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
AdMarket Impact and Context
President Trump's announcements on Truth Social have previously demonstrated a significant impact on global markets, making his posts a critical information source for financial institutions. For example, on April 9, 2025, Wall Street's main indexes rose sharply after Trump announced in a post that he would pause many new tariffs for 90 days.
By offering high-speed access to such potentially market-moving information, TMTG aims to monetize the value of this data for traders seeking an edge. Following the FT report, shares of TMTG pared most of their earlier losses, trading down 0.4% in the afternoon. The stock has fallen approximately 27% this year.
