TA 35 Index Hits One-Month High, Gains 1.12% on Financial Sector Strength

Israel's benchmark stock index advanced at Monday's close, with the TA 35 gaining 1.12% to reach its highest level in a month. The rally was primarily driven by broad strength across the financial and insurance sectors, according to market data.
Sector Strength Lifts Index
Gains in the Insurance, Financials, and Banking sectors were the primary catalysts for the market's upward move, as reported by Investing.com. The positive performance of these heavyweight sectors propelled the main index higher.
However, market breadth on the wider Tel Aviv Stock Exchange indicated a more mixed session. Declining stocks outnumbered advancers 272 to 206, with 81 issues ending unchanged. This suggests the day's gains were concentrated in large-cap index components rather than being a broad-based market rally.
Index Leaders and Laggards
Technology and semiconductor companies were among the day's top performers on the TA 35.
Ad- Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was the top gainer, surging 8.24%.
- Nova (TASE:NVMI) followed, adding 5.35% to its share price.
- Next Vision Stabilized Systems (TASE:NXSN) climbed 4.76%.
At the other end of the spectrum, NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) was the worst-performing stock on the index, falling 3.85%. It was joined by Mega Or (TASE:MGOR), which declined 3.46%, and Navitas Petroleum LP Unit (TASE:NVPTp), down 2.07%.
Broader Market Snapshot
In commodities, energy prices saw gains, with Crude Oil futures rising approximately 1.4% to $92.76 a barrel. In currency markets, the USD/ILS and EUR/ILS pairs remained largely stable, showing little change during the trading session.
