Streamex Partners With Siebert to Offer Tokenized Gold Security in Brokerage Accounts

Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) has made its tokenized, yield-bearing gold security available through traditional brokerage accounts, a move aimed at merging digital asset features with conventional investment channels. The development, announced on June 29, allows clients of Siebert Financial to access the gold-backed product without direct interaction with blockchain technology.
A Three-Way Collaboration
The initiative is a partnership between Streamex, which issues the `$GLDY` security, and two other financial firms. Siebert Financial, a FINRA-member broker that oversees approximately $20 billion in client assets, is handling distribution. Custody of the digital asset is managed by tZERO, a regulated digital-securities platform.
This structure allows Siebert's brokers to offer the tokenized gold product to eligible clients alongside conventional stocks and bonds. According to the announcement, this removes common barriers to entry for traditional investors, such as setting up crypto wallets or navigating blockchain platforms.
Product Details and Yield Generation
$GLDY is a regulated security backed by physical gold that offers an annual yield of up to approximately 3.5%. The return is generated by lending the underlying metal to commercial users, such as jewelers, mints, and refiners.
AdUnlike many gold investments that may involve management fees or physical storage costs, `$GLDY` pays its yield monthly in additional gold. This mechanism allows an investor's holdings to compound over time. The product also offers the potential for 24/7 secondary trading, which Streamex enabled in May through the Solana-based decentralized exchange Orca.
Phased Rollout and Future Plans
The brokerage integration is the latest step in Streamex's strategy to broaden access to tokenized commodities. For now, `$GLDY` remains available only to verified accredited investors.
"Putting $GLDY into a brokerage account is a major step toward that, because it meets traditional investors exactly where they already are," said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex, in a statement. The company confirmed it is building a tokenization platform to eventually offer a retail-focused version of its digital gold product to a wider audience.
