Streamex Makes Gold-Backed Digital Security Available Through Brokerage Accounts

Summary
Streamex Corp. announced that its gold-backed digital security, $GLDY, is now accessible to accredited investors through traditional brokerage accounts. The move, in partnership with Siebert Financial and tZERO, aims to bridge digital assets with conventional investment channels.
Streamex Corp. (NASDAQ: STEX) has expanded access to its gold-backed digital security, $GLDY, by making it available for purchase through traditional brokerage accounts. The change, effective June 29, allows verified accredited investors to acquire the asset via Siebert Financial, a FINRA-member broker, with custody handled by the regulated digital securities platform tZERO.
The $GLDY security is designed to offer direct exposure to gold while generating a return. According to the company, it pays a variable yield of up to approximately 3.5% annually, distributed monthly in the form of additional gold. This yield is reportedly generated by lending the underlying physical gold to commercial users like jewelers and refiners.
This development is the latest step in Streamex's strategy to make tokenized commodities more accessible. The company previously launched $GLDY in February and enabled secondary trading on the Solana-based decentralized exchange Orca in May. "Putting $GLDY into a brokerage account is a major step... because it meets traditional investors exactly where they already are," said Henry McPhie, Co-Founder and CEO of Streamex.
AdLooking ahead, Streamex has indicated plans to launch a retail version of its digital gold product that would not be restricted to accredited investors. The company is developing a tokenization platform for real-world assets and states that its future retail gold offering is expected to trade on several decentralized exchanges and offer a similar yield. These plans, however, describe a product that is not yet available and is subject to change.
