StableStock Adds 300+ South Korean Equities to Stablecoin Trading Platform

StableStock, a platform that enables stock trading with stablecoins, has officially launched services for the South Korean market, providing users with access to more than 300 Korean-listed stocks and ETFs. The expansion, announced by the company on Tuesday, adds one of Asia's key capital markets to its existing coverage of U.S. and Hong Kong equities.
Expansion Details
The initial offering includes some of South Korea's most prominent publicly traded companies, giving investors exposure to major sectors like technology, automotive, and consumer goods. Key stocks available at launch include:
- Samsung Electronics
- SK hynix
- Hyundai Motor
- NAVER
- Kakao
The company highlighted that this move is designed to meet investor demand for access to South Korea's critical role in global supply chains, particularly in semiconductors and AI-related industries. StableStock clarified that all trades are for real underlying shares, which are executed, cleared, and custodied through licensed financial institutions, rather than synthetic assets.
Market Strategy and Context
AdThis expansion into Korea is the latest step in the platform's growth strategy. According to its announcement, StableStock has served over 23,000 users and facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in cumulative trading volume since its launch over a year ago.
Beyond adding new markets, the company is also developing infrastructure to connect traditional equities with crypto-native trading strategies. StableStock plans to open its API, allowing institutional traders to use its platform as the spot equity leg for market-neutral and funding-rate arbitrage strategies. The firm also intends to introduce its own packaged stock funding-rate products.
Bridging Digital Assets and Traditional Finance
The platform's model aims to create a more direct bridge between stablecoin liquidity and regulated global equity markets. By allowing users to invest directly with digital dollars, it provides an alternative to traditional fiat currency on-ramps for accessing international stocks.
StableStock, which is backed by investors including YZi Labs, MPCi (Matrix Partners China), and Vertex Ventures, stated it plans to continue expanding into additional countries. The company's stated goal is to build a unified platform for stablecoin holders to gain diversified exposure to global equities.
