Perplexity Taps Crusoe for AI Infrastructure in Multi-Year Cloud Deal

AI infrastructure provider Crusoe and AI search company Perplexity have entered into a multi-year partnership, with Crusoe set to provide the cloud computing resources for Perplexity's artificial intelligence workloads. The deal, announced Tuesday, underscores the intense demand for specialized, high-performance computing power required to develop and deploy frontier AI models.

Partnership Specifics

Under the terms of the agreement, Perplexity will run its entire model lifecycle on the Crusoe Cloud platform. This includes training large-scale models on clusters featuring NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems and NVIDIA InfiniBand networking solutions. Perplexity will also utilize Crusoe’s Managed Inference service for the production deployment of its models.

The partnership is reciprocal, as Crusoe will adopt Perplexity's enterprise-grade AI tools, Enterprise Pro and Max, for its 1,800 employees. This will provide Crusoe's workforce with advanced capabilities for internal knowledge search, research, and data analysis.
