New Operator Launches 400+ Crypto ATMs Across US With Flat 5% Fee

Summary
A new company, Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs, has entered the market by launching over 400 cryptocurrency kiosks nationwide, offering a flat 5% transaction fee that significantly undercuts the industry average.
A new cryptocurrency ATM operator, Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs, announced on Thursday its launch of more than 400 machines across the United States. The company enters the market with a competitive fee structure aimed at challenging established players.
A Significant Market Entry
The initial rollout of over 400 ATMs immediately positions the company among the larger operators in the country, according to its press release. Most operators in the U.S. manage networks of a few dozen machines. The new kiosks are being placed in high-traffic retail locations like convenience stores and gas stations in states including Florida, California, Arizona, and Texas.
"Four hundred machines is not a pilot. It’s a network," said Quincy Mathis, Operations Manager at Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs, in a statement. "We wanted to be one of the biggest Bitcoin ATM operators in the country on the day we opened, because a low fee only matters if there’s a machine near you."
Challenging Industry Fee Norms
The company's primary competitive strategy is its pricing. It charges a flat 5% fee for all transactions, a rate substantially lower than the industry average, which the company states typically ranges from 12% to 20% or more.
AdKey details of the service include:
- Supported Cryptocurrencies: Users can purchase Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and USD Coin (USDC) with cash.
- Transaction Limits: Daily limits are set at $2,000 for users providing only a phone number and up to $50,000 for those who verify with a government ID and Tax ID.
- Non-Custodial: The service sends purchased crypto directly to the customer’s personal wallet and does not hold user funds.
Focus on Remittances and User Experience
The operator highlighted the growing use of its stablecoin offerings (USDT and USDC) for international remittances. The company noted that its lower fee structure could provide significant savings for users sending money to family or business partners abroad.
To streamline transactions, the company has also introduced an online pre-registration system, allowing first-time users to complete verification before visiting a machine. According to the announcement, Lowest Fee Bitcoin ATMs is a FinCEN-registered money services business and operates in compliance with federal and state regulations.
