Moroccan All Shares Index Closes 0.27% Lower on Sector Weakness

Morocco's benchmark stock index, the Moroccan All Shares (MASI), declined on Thursday, closing down 0.27% for the session. The drop was primarily driven by sector-wide losses in key industries including utilities, banking, and mining, according to closing data from the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
Market Breadth and Sector Performance
The negative sentiment was reflected in the market's breadth, where declining stocks significantly outpaced advancing ones. Of the companies traded, 32 saw their share prices fall, while only 16 posted gains. An additional 10 stocks finished the session unchanged.
The broad-based pressure indicates that investors were pulling back from several of the market's most significant segments. The weakness in banking and mining, in particular, contributed to the benchmark index's overall negative performance.

Several individual stocks experienced significant price movements during the trading day. The session's top performers were:

- Cartier Saada (CRS): +2.05% to 22.45
- Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (SNP): +2.05% to 349.00
