Modine to Rebrand as Modexus Solutions Following Gentherm Merger

Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE:MOD) announced plans to rebrand as Modexus Solutions following the completion of its merger with Gentherm, a move that sent its shares up in after-hours trading on Thursday. The new corporate identity is intended to reflect the company's strategic shift toward diversified thermal management solutions.
Merger and Rebranding Details
The name change is contingent upon the closing of the Gentherm merger, which is expected on October 1, 2026, and the spinoff of Modine's Performance Technologies business. According to a company statement, the transaction received approval from Gentherm shareholders at a special meeting held on September 10, 2026.
The rebranding to Modexus Solutions requires shareholder approval under applicable law. Modine plans to call a special meeting for stockholders to vote on the proposal within three months of the transaction's closing. The company will continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under its current MOD ticker symbol for the time being.
Strategic Rationale
AdModine said the new name reflects its position as a diversified thermal management company serving high-growth markets, including data center cooling, commercial HVAC, and refrigeration. The Modexus Solutions name was selected to carry forward the company's heritage while highlighting its focus on connected thermal systems.
Neil D. Brinker, Modine President and Chief Executive Officer, stated that the company will continue to evolve its product portfolio toward systems that maximize performance and reduce resource usage. Upon closing, the current leadership team, including CEO Brinker and CFO Michael Lucareli, will remain in place, along with the existing Board of Directors.
Market Reaction
Investors reacted positively to the news in extended trading. Shares of Modine rose as much as 1.8% in the after-hours session following the announcement.
