Mobileye Shares Rise on Deal to Supply Cloud-Based ADAS to Stellantis

Summary
Mobileye (NASDAQ: MBLY) stock gained after the company announced it will supply its cloud-enhanced driver-assist technology to automaker Stellantis, with the first integrations planned for 2027.
Mobileye Global Inc. (NASDAQ: MBLY) shares rose Tuesday after the company announced a partnership to supply its cloud-enhanced driver-assistance technology to automotive giant Stellantis N.V. (NYSE: STLA). The deal, which will see the technology integrated into select Stellantis vehicles starting in 2027, sent Mobileye's stock up by as much as 5% in morning trading.
The Partnership Details
The agreement centers on Mobileye’s Road Experience Management (REM) technology, a crowdsourced, high-definition mapping platform. This system will be integrated into certain Stellantis models to enable advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) features, such as intelligent lane-keeping on unmarked roads and hands-free, eyes-on driving in designated areas and conditions.
According to the announcement, the first applications are planned for select U.S. models beginning in 2027. "We’re proud to expand our work with Stellantis, bringing a new level of intelligence to the vehicle itself through REM and the EyeQ6L," said Nimrod Nehushtan, Mobileye's Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy.
Technology and Market Impact
Mobileye's REM platform functions by collecting anonymized data from front-facing cameras in vehicles already equipped with its EyeQ processors. This data, covering road features like curbs, crosswalks, and lane markings, is transmitted to the cloud and processed into an intelligence layer that enhances ADAS performance.
AdFor investors, the partnership underscores Mobileye's critical role in the automotive supply chain for autonomous and semi-autonomous driving technology. Adding Stellantis to its network expands Mobileye's data collection capabilities, strengthening its competitive advantage and the effectiveness of its platform.
A Growing Data Ecosystem
With this agreement, Stellantis joins a group that includes five of the world's ten largest automakers contributing data to Mobileye's REM technology. The company stated that the platform generated data from over 8 million vehicles covering 34 billion miles in the last year alone.
This vast, crowdsourced data stream has resulted in coverage of more than 95% of public roads in the United States and Europe. The constantly updated map provides a foundational layer for increasingly sophisticated driver-assist and autonomous vehicle technologies.
