Background

The S&P/BMV IPC index finished the session down 0.58%, according to closing data. The decline was primarily driven by losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors. Market breadth was negative, with falling stocks outnumbering advancing ones by a margin of 140 to 103, while 8 issues ended the day unchanged.
