Investing.com Expands AI Platform, Reports Outperformance for Stock-Picking Strategies

Investing.com has expanded its artificial intelligence-driven platform for retail investors, InvestingPro, while releasing performance data indicating its AI stock-picking strategies have significantly outpaced major market benchmarks.
AI-Driven Strategy Performance
According to a company announcement on September 15, the platform's flagship "ProPicks" AI strategies have shown strong returns. Investing.com reported that its main technology-focused portfolio has generated a return of +193.92% since its inception in November 2023.
This performance represents an outperformance of 113.03% compared to the S&P 500 over the same period, the company stated. The firm also highlighted several individual stock selections that it said produced triple-digit gains while included in its strategies:
- Kingboard Chem (SEHK:148): +547.10%
- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA): +226.7%
- Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ:SMCI): +185.8%
- ViaSat (NASDAQ:VSAT): +137.05%
Investing.com noted that these are real-world results from its live strategies, not back-tested data. The service has now expanded to offer a total of 88 AI-powered strategies worldwide, targeting markets including Japan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
Expanded Platform Features
AdThe InvestingPro subscription includes a suite of analytical tools beyond stock picks. Among them is "WarrenAI," a generative AI assistant designed to provide real-time market analysis and answer user queries. Another feature, "Vision AI," automates the technical analysis of asset charts to identify patterns, support and resistance levels, and indicator signals.
The platform also offers a "Fair Value" assessment for individual stocks, which aggregates 17 different institutional valuation models to estimate a stock's intrinsic worth. This is intended to help investors identify potentially undervalued or overvalued securities.
Context and Market Implications
The expansion of services like InvestingPro reflects a broader industry trend of leveraging AI to provide sophisticated analytical tools to a retail investor audience. These platforms aim to democratize access to data-driven strategies and quantitative analysis that were once primarily the domain of institutional investors and hedge funds.
The marketing of such platforms often centers on self-reported performance metrics. For investors, these tools represent a new wave of resources for market research and idea generation, though their long-term efficacy will continue to be evaluated against established market benchmarks.
