Background

Indonesia's main stock index finished slightly lower in Wednesday's session, as losses in key sectors offset gains elsewhere in the market. The IDX Composite Index declined by 0.13% by the close of trading in Jakarta.

Sector-Led Decline

The modest downturn was primarily driven by negative performance in the Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Basic Industry sectors, according to market data. The session's market breadth reflected broader weakness, with declining stocks outnumbering advancers on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by a margin of 456 to 248, while 126 stocks ended the day unchanged.

Among the session's worst performers were:

  • Estee Gold Feet PT Tbk (EURO), which fell 9.82%.
  • Graha Prima Mentari PT Tbk (GRPM), declining 9.35%.
  • Utama Radar Cahaya Tbk PT (RCCC), which dropped 8.79%.
