IDX Composite Rises 0.57% as Infrastructure and Financial Stocks Lead Gains

Indonesia's main stock market benchmark, the IDX Composite Index, gained 0.57% to close Monday's trading session higher, driven by positive performance in key sectors.
Sector-Led Rally
The advance was primarily supported by gains in the Infrastructure, Financials, and Agriculture sectors, according to data from the Jakarta Stock Exchange. However, the rally was not broad-based across the market.
Market breadth figures indicated that declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones by a margin of 338 to 280, with an additional 216 stocks ending the session unchanged. This suggests that the index's overall gain was concentrated in a smaller number of influential companies.
Standout Performers
Several companies saw significant price movements during the session. The top performers on the IDX Composite included:
Ad- Bukit Darmo Property Tbk (JK:BKDP), which surged 34.95% to close at 139.00, a new 5-year high for the stock.
- Trimitra Propertindo Tbk PT (JK:LAND), which added 28.57% to end at 81.00.
- PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (JK:VKTR), which climbed 25.00% to finish at 650.00.
On the other end, the session's worst performers were led by Niramas Utama Tbk PT (JK:JELI), which fell 14.72%, and Ristia Bintang Mahkotasejati (JK:RBMS), which declined 10.61%.
Currency and Commodity Markets
In the currency markets, the Indonesian rupiah weakened slightly against the U.S. dollar, with the USD/IDR pair rising 0.40% to 18,108.00. Meanwhile, energy commodities saw gains, with Brent oil futures for September delivery rising 2.83% to $78.16 a barrel. The U.S. Dollar Index Futures, which tracks the greenback against a basket of major currencies, was down 0.10% at 100.65.
