Hacksaw Stock Tumbles After Q2 Revenue and EPS Miss Estimates

Shares of Hacksaw AB slid more than 8% in Stockholm trading after the company reported second-quarter financial results that narrowly missed analyst expectations. The sell-off occurred despite the firm posting robust double-digit growth, highlighting investor sensitivity to even minor shortfalls for stocks with high valuations.
A Narrow Earnings Miss
For the second quarter of 2026, Hacksaw reported net sales and earnings per share that came in just below consensus forecasts, according to its pre-market release.
- Net Sales: Reached EUR 59 million, a year-over-year increase of 31% (33% on a constant-currency basis), but fell approximately 2% short of the consensus estimate of EUR 60.4 million.
- Earnings Per Share (EPS): Came in at EUR 0.158, slightly below the analyst forecast of EUR 0.16.
Despite the miss, the company's underlying performance remained strong. Net income climbed 43% year-over-year to EUR 46 million, and the adjusted EBIT margin held firm at a healthy 82%. The company noted that foreign exchange headwinds were a significant factor in the top-line miss.
AdMarket Reaction and Context
The market's sharp negative reaction, which sent the stock down 8.1% to SEK 74.5, appears to be driven by more than just the slight earnings miss. The stock was trading near its 52-week high of SEK 89.35 heading into the report, setting a high bar for performance.
Investor caution may have also been heightened by a technical overhang. According to Swedish financial media, lock-up agreements for some early shareholders expired in late June. While several insiders remain restricted from selling until 30 days after the earnings release, the potential for future share sales has been a point of focus for investors.
