Frameless Gallery has launched a browser-based platform for displaying Ethereum non-fungible tokens (NFTs), offering a new management and presentation tool for digital art collectors. The service is designed to support owners of TokenFrame digital displays following the discontinuation of that product's original software platform.

Platform Features and Access

The new platform operates through a standard web browser, allowing it to function on compatible TokenFrame hardware as well as other browser-capable devices like smart TVs, computers, and Raspberry Pi systems. According to the company's announcement, it retrieves NFT collection data from the public blockchain without requiring users to connect a crypto wallet or sign a transaction.

A free version allows users to display any publicly accessible Ethereum NFT by entering its URL. The company also offers Frameless Gallery Pro, a premium tier available for a one-time purchase of $9.99, which unlocks additional features including:

  • Importing collections using a public Ethereum address or ENS name
  • Curating custom exhibitions and playlists
  • Slideshow functionality and advanced display controls
  • Support for static images, video, and live generative art

Context for Digital Art Collectors

The launch addresses a gap for collectors who own TokenFrame hardware but have had limited options for its use since the original platform ceased operations. By providing a new software solution, Frameless Gallery aims to extend the life of these dedicated display devices.

"Collectors invested in both digital art and the hardware created to display it," said Anthony Anger, Founder of Frameless Gallery, in the announcement. "Frameless Gallery was created to give collectors another way to continue using those displays while putting the artwork at the center of the experience." The platform's cross-device compatibility also broadens its potential user base beyond a single hardware manufacturer.
