Deribit and SignalPlus Launch $600,000 Crypto Derivatives Trading Competition

Crypto derivatives exchange Deribit and trading software provider SignalPlus have launched their fifth and largest-ever trading competition, offering a prize pool of up to $600,000 USDC. The 35-day event, named "The Island," aims to attract and reward active retail traders in the crypto options and futures markets.

Competition Mechanics

The competition runs from July 6 to August 10, 2026, with registration open for the duration of the event. According to the announcement, standings will be determined by participants' notional trading volume on the Deribit platform through the SignalPlus interface. Options trading volume is weighted at 1.0, while futures volume is weighted at 0.5.

The event is structured around both individual and team-based participation. Key features include:

• Weekly leaderboards for solo and team trading volume.
• Daily missions and reward loops to encourage consistent engagement.
• A "Flash Arena" that provides reward multipliers for trading short-dated options.
• Incentives for block trades and high-balance participants.

The top prize is a "Private Island jackpot," and other available items include a Rolex watch, an Apple Vision Pro, NVIDIA stock, a luxury trip to Turkey, and various tech gadgets and trading fee coupons.
