Crystal Intelligence Launches 'Ask Crystal' AI Tool for On-Chain Transaction Analysis

Blockchain analytics firm Crystal Intelligence announced the launch of Ask Crystal, an artificial intelligence feature integrated into its Crystal Expert platform. The new tool is designed to generate on-demand, narrative summaries of cryptocurrency transfers to assist compliance, investigation, and risk management professionals in making faster and more informed decisions.
AI-Powered Transaction Summaries
According to the company's July 14 announcement, Ask Crystal functions as an on-demand AI analyst. It processes on-chain data for any given transaction and produces a structured, plain-language report, with each piece of information backed by verifiable blockchain evidence.
The AI-generated summaries are organized into four key sections:
- A general transfer overview.
- An analysis of the source and destination of funds.
- Details on any triggered risk alerts.
- A history of prior interactions, including checks against trusted lists.
This consolidation aims to replace the manual process of correlating information across multiple screens, which the company identifies as a significant bottleneck for analysts.
Addressing Compliance Workflows
AdCrystal Intelligence positions the tool as a solution to the growing case volumes and operational complexity faced by financial crime compliance teams. The goal is to reduce the cognitive load on analysts and ensure more consistent judgments by interpreting data in a standardized way every time.
"Across compliance, investigations, and risk, teams are asked to make high-stakes calls under time pressure, with the evidence scattered across screens," stated Navin Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Intelligence. "We are not automating the decision. We are giving every decision the full picture it deserves."
Platform and Availability
Ask Crystal is a new capability within the institutional-grade Crystal Expert platform, which is used by financial institutions, regulators, and investigators. The platform tracks activity across more than 330 blockchains and has attributed over 110,000 entities, according to the company.
The feature is currently rolling out to existing Crystal Expert customers. Access will be managed through role-based permissions, allowing organizations to control its deployment internally.
