Other significant decliners contributing to the index's fall included:

- Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CORFICOLCF): Dropped 1.93% to finish the session at 22,400.00 pesos.
Bright Spots in a Down Market
AdDespite the overall negative sentiment, a few stocks bucked the trend. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:PFCEMARGOS) was the day's top gainer on the COLCAP, surging 5.76% to close at 13,220.00 pesos.
Food processing giant Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NUTRESA) also stood out, climbing 2.22% to reach an all-time high of 322,000.00 pesos. Its sister company, Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CEMARGOS), rose 1.50%.
Currency and Commodity Context
In foreign exchange markets, the Colombian peso showed strength against the U.S. dollar. The USD/COP pair fell 1.54% to 3,307.99, a move that coincided with a 0.26% decline in the broader US Dollar Index Futures.
Key commodity markets relevant to the region were mostly positive. December contracts for US coffee rose 1.00%, and Gold Futures for December delivery gained 0.52%.
