CloudTech Launches Institutional Crypto Platform RooRooEx in Australia with Integral's Tech

Summary
Blockchain infrastructure firm CloudTech Group has launched RooRooEx, a new digital asset trading platform for Australian investors, leveraging technology from Integral to provide access to institutional-grade liquidity and pricing.
Blockchain financial infrastructure firm CloudTech Group has launched a new digital asset trading platform, RooRooEx, aimed at providing Australian professionals, high-net-worth individuals, and sophisticated investors with institutional-grade trading capabilities. The platform is built on technology from currency technology partner Integral, according to a Sept. 22 announcement.
Platform Features and Technology
RooRooEx is designed to aggregate liquidity from multiple providers, giving users access to more competitive pricing and more efficient trade execution. According to the company, the platform automatically routes orders across different liquidity sources in real-time, a mechanism intended to reduce slippage—the difference between the expected price of a trade and the price at which it is executed.
The platform offers a range of features aimed at sophisticated traders, including:
- Trading pairs in AUD and USD against major cryptocurrencies, as well as USDT capabilities.
- Advanced order types such as market orders, limit orders, and time-weighted average price (TWAP) strategies.
- Integration with CloudTech Custody for secure asset storage.
Market Context and Strategic Focus
AdThe launch comes as Australia moves toward stronger regulatory oversight of the digital asset sector. This evolving landscape is raising investor expectations for the security, transparency, and reliability commonly associated with traditional financial markets.
"For too long, many of the benefits traditionally available to professional investors have been difficult for individual investors... to access in the OTC market," said Edward Zhang, General Manager at CloudTech Group. He stated that RooRooEx aims to "bridge this gap" by combining CloudTech's trading and custody services with Integral's infrastructure. The platform's initial strategic focus will be on Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Institutional-Grade Infrastructure
CloudTech emphasized the platform's focus on security and governance, featuring built-in controls for managing trading, monitoring risk, and overseeing settlements. Harpal Sandhu, CEO of Integral, noted that the digital asset market's maturation requires more advanced technology.
"As digital asset markets mature, firms must offer investors the same calibre of sophisticated technology available in traditional financial markets," Sandhu said. He added that Integral's technology enables CloudTech to deliver institutional-grade pricing and execution through the RooRooEx platform.
