Cardano Jumps 10% Amid Broader Crypto Market Rally

Cardano (ADA) experienced a significant price surge on Wednesday, gaining over 10% in its largest single-day percentage increase in more than a month. The rally pushed the cryptocurrency's price to $0.1903 and its market capitalization to nearly $6.9 billion, according to data from the Investing.com Index.
Details of the Rally
By 17:21 GMT, Cardano was trading at $0.1903, marking a 10.02% increase for the day. This represented the most substantial daily gain for the digital asset since July 3, according to the data. The move upwards pushed Cardano's market capitalization to $6.8874 billion, which accounts for approximately 0.29% of the total cryptocurrency market.
During the session, the token traded within a 24-hour range of $0.1733 to $0.1903. Trading volume for Cardano over the same period was reported at $392.8040 million, or 0.40% of the total volume across all cryptocurrencies.
Context of the Surge
Cardano's gains occurred amid a wider bullish trend across the digital asset market, with other major cryptocurrencies also posting strong performances. The broad-based rally suggests a positive shift in investor sentiment for the sector.
AdAccording to the Investing.com Index, Bitcoin (BTC) was up 7.78% to trade at $69,620.1, while Ethereum (ETH) saw an even more pronounced jump of 18.66% to $2,269.11. The move reinforced the market dominance of the top two assets, with Bitcoin's market cap at over $1.39 trillion (58.80%) and Ethereum's at $272.42 billion (11.51%).
Long-Term Perspective
While the daily gain is notable, it is important to view it in a broader historical context. Despite the recent positive momentum, which includes a 3.39% gain over the past seven days, Cardano remains significantly below its peak valuation.
The current price is still down 93.86% from its all-time high of $3.10, which was recorded on September 2, 2021. At its highest, Cardano's market cap reached $94.8 billion.
