In a notable individual stock move, real estate developer Nexity (EPA:NEXI) saw its shares fall 2.75% to a new 5-year low.

Meanwhile, a key gauge of market anxiety, the CAC 40 VIX, was unchanged at 18.96. While flat for the day, this level represents a new 52-week high, suggesting that underlying investor uncertainty persists despite the session's gains.

Commodities and Currencies

In the commodities markets, energy prices retreated. Crude oil for October delivery fell 2.77% to $99.64 a barrel, while the November Brent contract declined 2.36% to $105.09 a barrel. In currency trading, the EUR/USD pair was little changed at 1.16.
