Bybit to Add 100 Shariah-Compliant Trading Pairs to Islamic Account

Bybit, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume, has announced a significant expansion of its Islamic Account, with plans to add 100 new Shariah-compliant trading pairs throughout the year. The rollout began with the introduction of an initial 20 pairs, according to a company statement on September 1, 2026.
Phased Rollout of New Assets
The expansion will be conducted in stages, with new batches of trading pairs introduced approximately every two weeks. The first 20 pairs added include assets such as SEI/USDT, STRK/USDT, and ZORA/USDT.
Bybit confirmed that every new asset has undergone a rigorous review by its Shariah advisory partners to ensure compliance with Islamic finance principles before being listed. This process is central to the platform's offering for its Muslim user base.
Adherence to Islamic Finance Principles
Bybit's Islamic Account is structured to align with the core tenets of Islamic finance, most notably the prohibition of interest (riba). The account features transparent fee structures and avoids interest-based transactions, offering access to compliant products like Spot Trading, Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) Bots, and Spot Grid Bots.
Ad"We believe access to digital assets should not require users to compromise their values," said Derek Dai, Head of Bybit MENA. "By expanding our Islamic Account, we’re giving Muslim traders greater choice while maintaining the rigorous Shariah review process behind every supported asset."
Market Context and Strategy
This initiative positions Bybit to meet the growing demand for Shariah-aligned financial products, particularly in the Middle East and other Muslim-majority markets where digital asset adoption is increasing. The exchange was among the first major global platforms to introduce a dedicated, fully Shariah-compliant account developed in consultation with Islamic finance scholars.
The expansion underscores Bybit's strategy to build a more inclusive digital asset ecosystem. The company stated this is part of a long-term commitment to serving the Muslim trading community with an account architecture based on transparency, fairness, and adherence to Islamic financial principles.
