Background

Bybit, which identifies itself as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched a new referral initiative called the "Squad Gold Rush." The campaign features a team-based competition with a prize pool of up to 100,000 USDT and additional rewards, according to a company announcement.

Campaign Mechanics

The event, which runs through Aug. 18, 2026, allows users to form teams and compete by referring new customers to the platform. The top 100 teams based on accumulated points will share the USDT prize pool, with individual payouts calculated based on each member's contribution to their team's total score.

In addition to the main prize pool, participants can earn chances to enter a lucky draw. Rewards in the draw include Tether Gold (XAUT) with a displayed value of up to $10,000, along with other promotional airdrops. The company noted that lucky-draw rewards will be distributed as USDT airdrops, with the final amount subject to the market value of the featured reward at the time of distribution.

To earn points for their team, a participant's referred user must complete several steps within seven days of registration. A referral is considered successful only after the new user:

  • Registers using the referral link or code.
  • Completes Identity Verification (KYC).
  • Deposits a minimum of $100 via eligible methods.
  • Executes at least $10 in trading volume.

To qualify for a share of the prize pool, individual participants must complete a minimum of two successful referrals. Bybit stated that rewards are expected to be distributed within 10 business days following the campaign's conclusion, pending a risk review. The campaign is not available to users in the European Economic Area or other restricted jurisdictions.
