Bybit Launches $1M Trading Competition Tied to Wall Street Earnings Season

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has launched a trading competition with a prize pool of up to $1 million in USDT, timed to coincide with the second-quarter earnings season on Wall Street. The event, which runs from July 21 to August 30, 2026, is designed to engage traders by offering rewards for activity related to major U.S. technology and semiconductor stocks.
Competition Aligns with Key Earnings Reports
Bybit, which describes itself as the world's second-largest crypto exchange by volume, structured the "Stock Earnings Season" event to cover a period of highly anticipated corporate earnings announcements. According to its press release, the competition's timeline includes reports from companies such as Tesla, Alphabet, Meta, Apple, Amazon, and Nvidia.
Participants can earn points by trading the exchange's suite of products offering exposure to global equities, including spot, derivatives, and stock contracts for difference (CFDs). The top 200 traders on a leaderboard will share the USDT prize pool, the company stated.
Bridging Crypto and Traditional Finance
The initiative highlights a broader market trend of cryptocurrency platforms integrating traditional financial (TradFi) assets to expand their user base. Bybit said the event reflects the ongoing "convergence" between traditional assets and crypto trading infrastructure, as instruments like tokenized equities and stock-related perpetual contracts become more common on crypto-native platforms.
AdThis strategy positions the exchange to serve both its core crypto-trading audience and users seeking exposure to traditional market movements within a single ecosystem. The move underscores the increasing competition among digital asset platforms to offer a wider range of financial products.
How the Program Works
In addition to the main leaderboard prize, Bybit outlined several ways for traders to accumulate rewards:
- Point System: Points are earned through trading volume, daily check-ins, achieving specific milestones, and successful user referrals.
- Engagement Rewards: A daily mechanic allows users to predict which of ten selected stock perpetuals will perform best, with correct predictions splitting a daily point pool.
- Bonus Points: During the first ten days of the event, from July 21 to July 30, traders can earn extra points on designated pairs including those for Tesla, Alphabet, and Meta.
- Redeemable Prizes: Bybit also noted that points can be redeemed in a rewards store for items such as a Tesla Cybertruck, an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and other technology products.
