Bitunix Launches Visa Debit Card with Cashback and Yield Features

Summary
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitunix has introduced a Visa-powered debit card, allowing users to spend digital asset balances at millions of merchants and earn rewards on their holdings.
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitunix on Tuesday announced the launch of the Bitunix Card, a Visa-powered payment solution that enables users to spend their funds on daily purchases. The card integrates spending with yield-earning capabilities, reflecting a growing industry trend of bridging digital assets with traditional financial infrastructure.
Key Features and Benefits
The Bitunix Card is accepted at more than 130 million merchants worldwide that are part of the Visa network, according to the company's announcement. It allows for direct spending on services like Uber, Amazon, and Netflix from a user's crypto balance.
The card offers several financial incentives:
- Cashback: Users can earn up to 8% cashback on eligible purchases, with rewards capped at 1,000 USDT per month.
- Yield Generation: Eligible balances held on the card can earn an annual yield of up to 11.6%, depending on the asset and prevailing conditions.
To facilitate widespread use, the card is compatible with major digital wallets, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
Operational Details
AdBitunix stated that the card has no issuance or monthly maintenance fees. To activate the card, users must transfer a minimum of 100 USDT to their card account, which remains available for spending. All card functions, including balance management, transaction tracking, and rewards monitoring, are handled through a unified dashboard on the Bitunix web platform and mobile apps.
Availability is limited to Bitunix users who have completed the platform's identity verification process and reside in supported regions. Standard regional network processing fees apply to transactions, though the company noted these may be offset by cashback rewards for some users.
Strategic Context
The launch is part of Bitunix's strategy to increase the everyday utility of cryptocurrencies beyond trading. By combining payments with yield generation in a single product, the exchange aims to provide users with a more integrated financial tool.
"The Bitunix Card goes far beyond payments. It unlocks a seamless, high-yield financial ecosystem built for everyday global commerce,” said Steven Gu, Bitunix’s Chief Strategy Officer, in the announcement. This move positions Bitunix to compete with other crypto platforms that have introduced similar card products to retain users and attract new customers seeking practical applications for their digital assets.
