Bitget Wallet to Launch 'Assetback' Program Offering Rewards in Bitcoin, Gold

Bitget Wallet is set to launch a new asset cashback program called "Assetback," allowing its cardholders to earn rewards in the form of digital and tokenized assets rather than traditional fiat currency or airline miles, Investing.com has learned.
Program Details
The program is scheduled to go live globally on August 1, offering eligible users up to 3% cashback on their spending. Cardholders can choose to receive their rewards in a variety of assets, including:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Gold (XAUT)
- Tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, such as Nvidia (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), Alphabet (GOOGL), and the S&P 500.
According to the announcement, the tokenized equities will be delivered through Payward's xStocks framework, and stablecoins are also expected to be added as a reward option. Once a user pre-selects their preferred asset, rewards will be automatically transferred to their account.
The Bitget Wallet Card, which is expected to be available in over 50 markets, operates on the Visa and Mastercard networks. The self-custody wallet currently serves over 100 million users worldwide.
AdA Shift in Consumer Finance
In an interview with Investing.com, Bitget Wallet COO Alvin Kan stated that the initiative reflects a broader trend of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) becoming integrated into everyday consumer finance. He noted that RWAs are moving "beyond institutional markets and trading platforms into everyday consumer finance scenarios."
"Credit card cashback is just an early foray into the convergence of payments, savings, and investing," Kan said. "It transforms daily consumption into small, continuous allocations into stocks, gold, or Bitcoin." He added that such automated mechanisms could expand access to both traditional and digital asset classes, particularly in markets where global investing remains costly or difficult.
Growing Crypto Card Usage
The launch comes amid significant growth in the crypto card sector. Monthly transaction volume for crypto-linked cards reached $656 million in May 2026, more than double the $271 million recorded in the same month a year prior, according to data cited in the report. Spending on the Bitget Wallet Card nearly tripled in the first half of 2026.
