Autheo Launches THEO Token on Hydrex with $18.66M Initial Market Cap

Autheo's native utility token, THEO, has commenced public trading on the Base-native decentralized exchange Hydrex, marking the project's entry into the public market. The token launch follows the May 14 debut of Autheo's Mainnet, an ecosystem described by the company as an "Internet Operating System."
Trading Debut and Tokenomics
According to the August 20 announcement, the THEO token launched with a reference price of $0.05 against the USDC stablecoin. This initial pricing establishes a market capitalization of approximately $18.66 million based on the initial circulating supply.
The project's tokenomics details include:
- Maximum Supply: 7.0 billion THEO
- Initial Circulating Supply: Approximately 5.33%
- Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV): $350 million
Autheo stated that its token emission schedule is designed to distribute the supply gradually over a 10-year period. The company has partnered with Enflux to serve as the official market maker for the token.
Ecosystem and Utility
AdTHEO is designed to power the economics of the Autheo platform, a decentralized network for services such as compute, storage, networking, and AI. The token's primary utilities include paying for network resources, transaction fees, staking for network security, and participating in governance.
Unlike many projects that list tokens prior to a functional product, Autheo's Mainnet is already operational and secured by 125 validators. The company reported significant pre-launch activity on its testnet, including over 2 million wallets and 10 million transactions.
"For years, we built in quiet — the network, the infrastructure, the audits — knowing that a token without a working platform is simply a token, not an economy," said Todd Mortenson, Founder and Managing Director of Autheo. "That’s what an Internet Operating System makes possible. Today, that economy opens to the world with THEO."
Strategic Partnerships and Audits
The launch is supported by several key partners and has undergone multiple independent security reviews. Security audits were conducted by Halborn, CertiK, and Avelar Labs across different layers of the platform, including the Mainnet, smart contracts, and the Base bridge.
Infrastructure deployment and hosting are supported by Zeeve, InfStones, and Antier. Autheo also announced that ApeBond is expected to launch an on-chain bond program to help build protocol-owned liquidity for the token.
